Prime Minister of Grenada, Dr. the Honourable Keith Mitchell has called for immediate, decisive action on climate change and warned that lives and livelihoods continue to be at stake. Prime Minister Mitchell said the unifying nature of sports provides a platform to advocate for change, as has been done historically.

The Honourable Mia Amor Mottley, Prime Minister of Barbados has called for a debt repayment system for Caribbean countries similar to what was granted to Britain after World War II that allowed that country to have the fiscal space to return to a path of development.

Wednesday, May 12, 2021.— The University of the West Indies (The UWI) is pleased to announce Professor Clive Landis as the next Principal of its Cave Hill Campus in Barbados. Professor Landis’ appointment was confirmed at The UWI’s annual business meeting of its University Council on April 30. The appointment was approved by the University Council, following a recommendation from Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sir Hilary Beckles.
