Cave Hill Alum Dr. Nadine Rogers to receive Global achievement Award from Johns Hopkins University

A University of the West Indies Cave Hill alumna is this year’s recipient of the 2022 Global Achievement Award from The John Hopkins University Alumni Association in honour of her excellent work in the international arena. Dr. Nadine Rogers received a Doctor of Philosophy in Health Policy & Management from The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2002; however her journey began at Cave Hill in the Faculty of Arts & General Studies, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature (Upper Second Class Honours) in 1988.

Dr Carla Barnett, CARICOM Secretary-General and distinguished alumna of The University of the West Indies (The UWI) was the featured speaker at the recently held Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Economic and Social Studies (SALISES) Distinguished Lecture themed Sustained Economic Recovery Post Pandemic – The Lewis Model. The lecture, held on April 26, broadcast live via UWItv, was a part of The UWI Vice-Chancellor’s Forum series. It facilitated dialogue and offered answers to critical questions of Caribbean economic recovery as the region navigates the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russian-Ukrainian war.
