The Caribbean has a new resource which addresses one of the most contentious issues in economic policy in the Caribbean – devaluation of the exchange rate. Former Governor of the Central Bank of Barbados, Dr. Delisle Worrell has authored a book entitled, Development and Stabilization in Small Open Economies: Theories and Evidence from Caribbean Experience which provides explanations of the effects on the development of small economies of other economic policies: interest rate changes, tax policies, government subsidies, how government expenditures are allocated and government debt.
