RBC Race for the Kids raises $100K for students at The UWI, Cave Hill Campus

RBC Royal Bank (Barbados) Ltd raised BBD $100,000 for students at The University of the West Indies (The UWI), Cave Hill Campus, during the eighth edition of the RBC Race of the Kids on Sunday. More than 1,600 people participated in the event with some running the 5K course, while others walked and skated along the route at their own pace.
Cave Hill to Host 166th Inter-American Court of Human Rights (I/A Court H.R.) Regular Session

The Inter-American Court of Human Rights will hold its 166th Regular Session in Barbados from April 22 to 26, following an invitation from the Government of Barbados. The different activities carried out during this Session will take place at The University of the West Indies (The UWI) Cave Hill Campus, in the Sagicor Cave Hill School of Business and Management.

The UWI Institute for Gender and Development Studies marks 30th anniversary

The Institute for Gender and Development Studies at The University of the West Indies (UWI IGDS) has been around for 30 years. On the heels of the University’s 75th jubilee, the Institute is commemorating its anniversary milestone throughout the 2023/2024 academic year, celebrating 30 years of Advocating for Gender Justice.
Established in 1993 first as a Centre, in 2008 it evolved into an autonomous, interdisciplinary, multi-campus institute. The Regional Coordinating Office (RCO) is based within the University’s Vice-Chancellery and the campus-based Units are located at the Mona, Jamaica, Cave Hill, Barbados, and St Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago.
