{"id":46,"date":"2019-02-12T13:06:12","date_gmt":"2019-02-12T13:06:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kinsta.cavehill.uwi.edu\/fss\/dean-s-list\/"},"modified":"2025-11-07T11:49:17","modified_gmt":"2025-11-07T15:49:17","slug":"dean-s-list","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/kinsta.cavehill.uwi.edu\/fss\/students\/dean-s-list\/","title":{"rendered":"Dean&#8217;s List"},"content":{"rendered":"<section>\n<div class=\"container-fluid page-wrapper site-font\">\n<div class=\"row faculty-content-page\">\n<div class=\"col-12\">\n<div class=\"lc-block\">\n<div editable=\"rich\">\n<h1 class=\"page-header\">Dean&#8217;s List <\/h1>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\tThe Dean&#8217;s List recognizes BSc. undergraduate students for their outstanding academic performance in each of the regular semesters during each academic year; that is during Semester 1 and Semester 2 but not the Summer Semester (Semester 3) or Summer School. The inclusion of students&#8217; names on the Dean&#8217;s List is one of the ways in which the Faculty recognizes excellence and does not carry with it any other recognition, award or prize.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\tFrom Semester 2, 2020-21 the Dean\u2019s List shall comprise the top 50 students (and ties) from Levels 1, 2 and 3 respectively:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Eligible students must have a minimum semester GPA of 3.7. <\/li>\n<li>Have completed 12 or more credit hours of courses at Levels 1, 2 or 3.<\/li>\n<li>Eligible records must not have FA, FE, F1, F2, F3, FC , F, FC, FE, FT, I, NP, NR or NV grades for the applicable semester. <\/li>\n<li>A student who has an incomplete grade (I) on his or her record becomes eligible to be considered for the Dean\u2019s List once the final grade is submitted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<strong>Part-Time Students<\/strong><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tPart-time students are <em>eligible<\/em> to be named on the Dean\u2019s List by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Achieving a minimum GPA of 3.7 in both Semesters I and II.<\/li>\n<li>Have completed a minimum of 15 credit hours for the academic year (Semesters I and II) for courses at Levels 1, 2 or 3. <\/li>\n<li>Eligible records must not have FA, FE, F1, F2, F3, FC , F, FC, FE, FT, I, NP, NR or NV grades for the academic year. <\/li>\n<li>A student who has an incomplete grade (I) on his or her record becomes eligible to be considered for the Dean\u2019s List once the final grade is submitted.<\/li>\n<li>Once named to the Dean\u2019s List, Part-Time students must complete an additional 15 credits in the next academic year according to the criteria noted above, before becoming eligible for the Dean\u2019s List again.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\tPlease click on the links
